AVANCINI IS THE BEST SOUTH AMERICAN CYCLIST FOR OLYMPIC GAMES

Henrique Avancini has started the 2015 race season at Cannondale Factory Racing with a bang winning the Pan American MTB Championship in Cota, Colombia.

Currently, Avancini has gained 200 UCI points to bring him one step closer to a spot at the Olympic Games, in Rio de Janeiro.

The Pan American MTB Championship was the most difficult race for Brazilian as Avancini was not used to the high altitude (2600 meters). “The altitude is a further difficulty that we had in this race, but if we have a good groundwork, we are totally able to fight in the same condition to any competitor” said Avancini.

This victory puts Avancini, in 19th place for UCI points. “This race, even not being my main objective for this season, is very important in this pre-olympic year, and have finished it with a gold medal, let me more motivated”
